I'm going to walk you through how to make these adorable and handy notepads for your teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Here's what you'll need:
*5x7 acrylic plastic picture frames
(I got mine for 95 cents at Wal-Mart, that's cheaper than the Dollar Store!)
* Free downloadable print-outs from http://domesticatedlady.com/
*Your choice of twine or ribbon
*clothes pins
*Post-it notes
*Scissors
*{optional} Embellishments such as stickers, jewels, buttons or flowers to hot glue to your notepad and clothes pins.
Start by cutting around the print out from Domesticated Lady or make your own 5x7 background image and gift tag.
Place the background image in the frame, so that the top is elevated.
You must glue the sticky notes to the acrylic plastic frame or they won't stick well and they will fall off. Then, tie your choice of ribbon or twine in a bow or knot it. Get creative with it!
Finally, pin your gift tag to the twine or ribbon using a clothespin to top off this project.
You could write your teacher's name with a thin Sharpie where the heart is at on the gift tag for a personalized touch. You could even take it a step further and write the dates for Teacher Appreciation Week with a quote or some encouraging words on the first few sticky notes like a calendar that your teacher can pull off each day.
